About

YIN YOGA & SOUND BATH
Sunday 16th February, 6-8pm

"My main approach during classes is gentleness and enquiry  – an open invitation for you to be with whatever arises. I encourage my students to be truthful about the ‘ease and effort’, not about pushing through pain,  but of finding that space with respect and curiosity for ourselves". Aline

What Are the Benefits of Yin Yoga?

Like other forms of yoga, yin yoga provides many benefits, such as:

  • Increasing your overall flexibility

  • Improving circulation

  • Enhancing the range of motion of your joints and ligaments

  • Encouraging you to connect with your breath

  • Improving emotional balance

  • Reducing symptoms of stressdepressionanxiety, and sleep disturbances

Is Yin Yoga for Beginners?

Yin Yoga has rapidly gained in popularity because it’s a helpful practice for both beginners and long-time yogis. It’s an ideal workout for people of all ages and abilities.

Yin Yoga moves slowly and stretches more deeply Into the body. In Yin Yoga instead of contracting your muscles to build strength or elevating your heart rate to build stamina, you're encouraged to relax and surrender to gravity.

How does a sound bath  and Yin Yoga work?

Typically, a sound bath will involve lying in a reclining position after taking part in Yin Yoga and  meditation exercises.

Next, Kasia trained in sound bath musical techniques will use several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations. Through these sounds and vibrations, the mind enters into a deeply meditative and relaxed state, bringing about healing at all levels of our being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The beauty of sound baths is that each note you hear in a sound bath has a purpose. It’s more than just a string of beautiful sounds tied together - a powerful healing intention is behind every single note and sequence!

As an extremely effective form of meditation, sound baths are an excellent way to let go of any worries and sink into a deeply serene experience. Adding sound to the meditation experience can take your relaxation to a new level!

Some of the main sound bath benefits that we’ve seen throughout our time teaching sound healing include:

  • Calming your body and mind

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • Increased focus and clarity

  • Decreased tension and fatigue

  • Better mood and reduced negative thoughts and emotions

  • Improved sleep

  • Reduced muscle and joint pain

  • Lower heart rate

  • … and so much more

"Most people leave my sessions feeling good, relaxed and rested. They wanted it to keep going and can’t wait for the next one!"
