These Terms apply to Reiki sessions, 1:1 Sound Healing sessions, Group Sound Baths and related wellbeing experiences provided by Luminessence Naturals Ltd.
Please read these terms before booking. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and understood the relevant information and agree to these terms.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
1. OUR APPROACH
Luminessence Naturals offers complementary wellbeing experiences designed to provide space for relaxation, mindfulness, self-reflection and personal wellbeing.
Our sessions may include Reiki, sound, vibration, meditation, guided relaxation and other complementary practices.
These experiences are not medical treatment, psychotherapy, counselling or a substitute for medical or psychological care.
We do not diagnose, treat or cure medical or psychological conditions.
If you have a medical or psychological condition, are receiving treatment, or are unsure whether a session is suitable for you, please speak with your doctor or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional before booking.
2. REIKI
Reiki is offered as a complementary wellbeing practice.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner may work with the participant either with hands placed lightly on the body where appropriate and with consent, or with the hands positioned above the body.
Touch is never required.
You remain in control of your session and may request:
-
No physical touch
-
A change in position
-
A pause
-
A different approach
-
The session to stop at any time
Your comfort, dignity and personal boundaries will always be respected.
3. SOUND BATHS & SOUND HEALING
Sound Baths and Sound Healing sessions use instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes and other sound-producing instruments.
The experience may involve periods of sound, silence, relaxation and stillness.
People respond differently to sound and vibration. Some participants may find the experience deeply relaxing, while others may find particular sounds, frequencies or volumes uncomfortable.
You are welcome to move position, sit up, take a break, leave the room or ask for the sound level to be adjusted.
You do not need to remain in one position for the entire session.
4. YOUR WELLBEING & INFORMED PARTICIPATION
Before participating, please consider whether the session is appropriate for you.
You should contact us before booking if you have a health condition, sensory sensitivity, hearing-related concern, pregnancy-related concern, medical device or other circumstance that you believe may affect your participation.
This allows us to discuss appropriate adjustments where possible.
We may recommend modifications to the session, such as:
-
Sitting rather than lying down
-
Positioning yourself further from an instrument
-
Reducing the volume where reasonably possible
-
Taking breaks
-
Choosing a quieter area
-
Using an alternative form of participation
We cannot guarantee that every requested adjustment will be possible in every venue.
5. SOUND SENSITIVITY
Please tell us before the session if you have:
-
Significant sound sensitivity
-
Tinnitus or another hearing-related condition
-
A history of seizures or sound-triggered seizures
-
A condition that may be affected by strong or unexpected sound
-
A sensory processing condition
-
Any other concern about participating in a sound-based experience
This information allows us to discuss the session with you and consider whether adjustments may be appropriate.
We do not automatically exclude people based solely on a diagnosis or disability.
Where reasonable and practical, we will consider appropriate adjustments to support participation.
6. MEDICAL DEVICES & HEALTH CONDITIONS
If you have an implanted medical device, hearing device, neurological condition, cardiovascular condition or any other health condition about which you have concerns, please seek appropriate professional advice before participating.
If you are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery, or have another condition that may affect your ability to participate comfortably, please discuss this with your healthcare professional where appropriate and inform us before the session.
Our practitioner is not able to provide medical clearance.
7. MENTAL & EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
Sound, stillness, meditation and relaxation can affect people differently.
Some participants may experience emotional responses during or after a session.
You are never expected to share personal experiences with the group.
If you become uncomfortable or overwhelmed, you may pause or leave the session.
Our sessions are not a substitute for psychological therapy, counselling, psychiatric care or other professional mental health support.
If you are experiencing significant emotional or psychological distress, please seek support from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
8. TRAUMA-INFORMED & CONSENT-LED PRACTICE
Luminessence Naturals aims to provide a respectful, choice-based and trauma-aware environment.
You are always encouraged to make choices that feel comfortable for you.
You do not have to:
-
Close your eyes
-
Lie down
-
Participate in guided exercises
-
Share personal information
-
Receive physical touch
-
Remain for the entire session
For Reiki, consent will be obtained before any physical touch.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
9. HEALTH INFORMATION & CONFIDENTIALITY
Before some sessions, we may ask for information that is relevant to your safety and participation.
Please only provide information that is necessary for us to consider your participation and any reasonable adjustments.
Information concerning your physical or mental health is treated as sensitive personal information under UK data protection law.
Where we collect health information, we will handle it in accordance with applicable UK GDPR requirements and our Privacy Policy. Health information is classed as special category data and requires additional protection.
Information shared privately during a session will be treated confidentially, subject to legal or safeguarding obligations.
Confidentiality may need to be broken where disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
10. BOOKING & PAYMENT
All bookings must be paid in accordance with the payment terms shown at the time of booking.
Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in UK Pounds Sterling (£).
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.
11. GROUP SOUND BATH CANCELLATION POLICY
Group Sound Bath bookings are made for a specific date and time.
Unless otherwise stated on the individual event booking page:
Bookings are non-refundable once the stated cancellation period has passed.
Where permitted, you may transfer your place to another person by contacting us before the event.
The replacement participant must comply with our safety and participation requirements.
If Luminessence Naturals cancels an event, we will offer an appropriate alternative arrangement or refund the amount paid for the cancelled booking.
Specific-date leisure services can be treated differently from ordinary online purchases under consumer cancellation rules. However, any applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

For individual Reiki and private Sound Bath appointments:
Cancellation 4 or more days before your appointment
A 50% refund will be offered.

A refund will normally not be offered.
Where possible, you may request:

sales@luminessencenaturals.co.uk
We encourage you to contact us even when the cancellation period has passed, as we may be able to offer a reasonable alternative depending on the circumstances.
14. LATE ARRIVAL
For group Sound Bath events, please arrive approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Because late entry may disturb other participants and affect the experience, we may not be able to admit participants after the session has started.
If you arrive late and cannot be admitted, this may be treated as a missed appointment unless we are able to offer an alternative arrangement.
15. DURING THE SESSION
For the comfort and safety of everyone:
-
Please keep mobile phones and electronic devices switched off or on silent.
-
Please avoid strong perfumes, deodorants or aftershaves.
-
Please avoid eating a heavy meal immediately before the session.

Please follow reasonable instructions from the practitioner or venue.

-
Please do not attend while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
-
Please tell the practitioner if you become uncomfortable at any point.
16. COMFORT & ACCESSIBILITY
We want our sessions to be welcoming and accessible.
Depending on the venue, mats, blankets, cushions, bolsters and other equipment may be provided.
If lying on the floor is difficult or uncomfortable, please contact us in advance. Where possible, we may be able to provide a chair or alternative position.
Please let us know about accessibility requirements before the session so that we can discuss what adjustments may reasonably be available.
17. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
You are responsible for providing information that is reasonably relevant to your safe participation.
You should follow any safety instructions provided by the practitioner or venue.
You may stop participating at any time.
We will take reasonable care to provide our services safely and professionally.
Nothing in these terms requires you to accept a risk that we are legally responsible for or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
-
Breach of statutory consumer rights
-
Faulty goods where applicable
-
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
Any limitation of liability will apply only to the extent permitted by UK law.
Consumer service contracts are subject to requirements concerning reasonable care and skill, and unfair terms cannot be relied upon against consumers.
19. CANCELLATION BY LUMINESSENCE NATURALS
We may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule a session or event because of circumstances such as practitioner illness, venue closure, severe weather, safety concerns or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we cancel a paid session, we will offer an alternative date or refund the amount paid for the cancelled booking, as appropriate.
20. EMERGENCIES
If you become unwell or require urgent assistance during a session, please inform the practitioner immediately.
Where necessary, we may contact emergency services or seek appropriate assistance to protect your safety.
21. SAFETY INFORMATION
The practitioner may ask you to complete a short health and safety form before certain sessions.
The purpose of this information is to help us understand whether reasonable adjustments may be appropriate.
We do not use the information to diagnose or medically assess you.
If you are unsure whether a session is appropriate for you, please consult your doctor or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
22. RESPECTFUL ENVIRONMENT
Luminessence Naturals is committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment.
We do not tolerate harassment, threatening behaviour, discrimination, intimidation or behaviour that significantly disrupts other participants' experience.
Where necessary, we may ask a participant to leave a session where their behaviour presents a genuine safety concern or seriously disrupts the event.
Where a participant is asked to leave because of their own unacceptable behaviour, a refund will not normally be provided, subject to applicable law.
23. GIFTING A BOOKING
Where permitted, a participant may transfer their booking to another person by contacting us before the event.
The replacement participant must provide any information required for safety and booking purposes and agree to these Terms.
24. PRIVACY
Personal information collected when you book or attend a Reiki or Sound Bath session is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you provide health information, additional data protection requirements may apply because health information is special category data under UK GDPR.
25. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The current version will be published on our website with the date of the latest update.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you have already acquired under applicable law or an existing booking.
26. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under applicable law.
