What Is Reiki?

Reiki healing is a beautiful, graceful healing modality that takes trust, openness and belief in the power of the unseen word. Reiki is a form of inclusive complementary therapy that restores the natural, healthy, balanced energy to the body - using divine energy channelled through the hands towards the aura of another to replenish their vitality. 

The word Reiki is made from two Japanese words:

Rei, which means Universal and Ki (Japanese meaning) which is Life Force Energy. This energy is recognized in many religions and spiritual traditions. It has also been called Life Force Energy, Chi, Ki, Qi Cosmic Energy, Prana, Essence, the great spirit and Life Force, depending on the culture or tradition encountered. 

Mikao Usui founded his first Reiki clinic and school in Tokyo in 1922.

aff​illation, it is open to all.

Reiki isn't a cure, nor does it guarantee any specific results or outcomes. It's a complementary therapy that supports the body's natural healing process to bring the recipient's mind, body and spirit into balance.

Reiki  is a gentle, non-invasive technique for stress reduction and relaxation that has been practised for centuries by qualified Reiki Practitioners around the world.

Many people report feeling more relaxed, less stressed, and having an improved sense of wellbeing following a Reiki session. ​

The best way to understand Reiki is to experience it yourself.

Reiki is suitable for everyone - including animals. 

 

What is a session like?​

The initial session will include a thorough consultation. where we can discuss your needs, where you are now and what you hope to achieve from a one to one or distance treatment. For whatever reason you seek treatment, you will find a welcoming, supportive and confidencial space. During a session, my client will lie on a massage table, fully clothed with a blanket and pillow to keep warm and comfortable. I will work from the head down the body, placing my hands in correspondence to the Chakras, but also to where I feel intuitively drawn and any areas of pain and discomfort. The receiver may request no touching based on personal preference in this case  Reiki is performed by holding hands above the body with no physical contact. 

I use a combination of hands on and hands off healing, which means at some points my hands will be directly on the body, and at others will be above it. 

I will usually play background music and have some Luminessence aromatherapy candles burning during a session, to create a lovely relaxing ambience. If I think it is needed, I will use  my unique sound healing therapy. 

The unique combination of Reiki and Sound Healing Therapy can help to resolve emotional distress and increase the recipient's feeling of overall well-being.

Energy Healing at distance - Worldwide

Remote Distant Reiki  is a method of energy healing over any distance, If you are unable to reach my Reiki space, due to location, illness, or any restrictions, I deliver unique Remote Reiki session to wherever you are in the world. These soothing sessions work beautifully and effectively because energy is not limited by distance. It can be sent anywhere, anytime, to anyone, but permission must be sought or obtained in some way. 

I work with clients throughout the UK, and worldwide like Poland and the US. 

For this session I connect to you, your Higher Self, your  Guides. We can meet online through video-call or WhatsApp - video- call. In  advance of the session without a video- call, for this I will need you to please send me a recent photograph of yourself where I can see your facial features clearly, along with your name, age, location and any intention you have of what you want the session to support - e.g. a physical or health issue, goal, or challenge. When I send Reiki to the past, I am not looking to change it. I cannot. Instead, I am looking to heal the damage, the emotions, or the pain that remains today. I send Reiki so that my client can release the pain and move on with their lives. If you want to heal a past situation, you can get a picture that represents that time in your life (the people, the situation) Reiki offers new choices and actions. 

This can also be done with goals. Since a goal is usually something in the future. What I have found is that if I  send Reiki to someones goal, you will find that you might just “be in the right place at the right time”, information may come to you easily, the right people that can help you appear, or achieving the goal is a lot easier than you thought. Reiki can be sent to future events. Remember that Reiki will not work to control people or situations: it works to bring about the best outcome for all concerned.

One important point about sending Reiki is that it cannot be used to change people or their behaviours. 

​The wisdom of Reiki knows what is best for the person and acts accordingly.

At the time of your session I will connect with your energy and complete the Reiki session remotely.

I will then provide feedback (The receiver may request no feedback based on personal preference) one via email as to any blockages I felt and cleared. You do not need to do anything at the session time to receive distance Reiki, but if you wish to lay down or relax then you are of course more than welcome to!​​​​​

About ​Practitioner

I am a qualified and insured Reiki Master & Teacher, trained in both the Usui Shiki Ryoho and Usui Reiki Ryoho traditions. My work is enriched by qualifications in Sound Healing, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, and the principles of vibration and energy, allowing me to create deeply personal and intuitive healing experiences.

Everything in the universe is energy. When our energy flows freely, we naturally experience greater clarity, balance, love, and wellbeing. When life's experiences create blockages, we can feel disconnected from ourselves and from the joy that is always available to us.

My intention is to help you return to that connection.

Each session is an invitation to slow down, release what no longer serves you, and create space for peace, renewal, and transformation. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where you can simply be. 

My own daily practices include Reiki, meditation, breath work, yoga, sound healing, time in nature, hiking, running, reading, crystals, and essential oils. These rituals help me stay connected to gratitude, presence, and the light that exists within us all.

I believe that every person carries infinite potential, wisdom, and light. Sometimes we simply need someone to remind us of what has always been there.
